What is the LDA online portal?

It is the official Lahore Development Authority website at lda.gop.pk, where you can check whether a housing scheme is approved, review the sifting record for a specific plot, track a submitted one-window application or NOC, and check an LDA City file status. It is the authoritative source for LDA records, which is why you should use it rather than a dealer's screenshot.

How do I check my LDA application status online?

Use the One Window Application Status tool on lda.gop.pk. It tracks the progress of submitted applications, including property approvals, verifications, NOCs and development-service requests, and shows the stage your application has reached. If it is unclear or temporarily unavailable, the LDA call centre on 042-111-111-532 can confirm your status.

What is LDA sifting status and how do I check it?

Sifting Status is a plot-level check on the LDA portal. You select the Scheme, Phase, Sector and Plot number, and it returns the current official record for that exact plot. It is used to confirm that a file you own or are buying corresponds to a real, recorded plot rather than an oversold entry. If the sifting record disagrees with the seller's paperwork, do not proceed until it is resolved.

How do I check my LDA City file status?

LDA City has a dedicated file status tool on the portal. Enter your CNIC and your LDA-issued file number to review the current progress and status of that file. The file number can usually be entered with or without hyphens, so if one format does not work, try the other before assuming something is wrong.

Can I verify a plot's ownership online through LDA?

The portal shows official records and the sifting status of a plot, which is a strong first check, but it is not a complete substitute for verifying the seller and the original documents in person. It cannot catch a well-forged private file or a plot that has been sold to several buyers. Confirm the record online, then verify the physical plot and ownership before paying. Saiban Associates handles both sides of this for buyers.

Is the LDA portal enough to confirm a society is safe to buy in?

It confirms the two most important things, that the scheme is approved and what the plot record says, but not everything. You still need to check that the specific phase and block are approved, not just the brand, and verify the seller and original file physically. The portal also covers only LDA schemes, not DHA or other authorities. Use it as your first filter, then complete an on-ground verification before you commit.

Can I check my LDA application status by CNIC only?

For LDA City file verification, you can check directly using your CNIC and file number. For general One Window applications (such as NOC verification, map approval, or transfer status), you typically need your unique Application Tracking Number, or you can log in to the LDA Online Citizen Portal using your CNIC credentials.
